Our Story

going all in for coffee

Both of our founders have followed their interests to see where they would ultimately be led. While the paths taken were very different, they both ended up in the same place; the coffee industry.

20+ years ago, Andrew was introduced to specialty coffee shops while traveling the country in a ‘77 VW Camper named Fritz, while racing the pro mountain bike circuit. He brought the idea back to New England and opened Atomic Cafe, a laid back coffee shop that eventually evolved into a small chain of cafes, and a nationally renowned coffee roaster. 

He struck up a friendship with Jason, who had applied his analytical thinking from his work as a Bioscientist, to become a masterful coffee roaster. They had similar visions for a company and formed Lifted Coffee Roasters. Their definition of Lifted is to encourage, inspire confidence or put people into a better mood.
